Did you know that prolonged exposure to loud noises can damage your hearing? Laflamme and Associates

Do you have trouble following a conversation in noisy places? Can you hear what is being said, but not enough to understand it all? If you recognize yourself, you may have hearing problems and it is important to consult a professional to evaluate your hearing system. Our audioprosthetists will do a screening test and then refer you to an ENT doctor to open a file with the CNESST.

Depending on the results, the CNESST assistance program may compensate you for the following

  • Purchase and fitting costs of hearing aids
  • Repair, remodelling or replacement costs

In addition, an indemnity to compensate for the loss of hearing, varying according to specific criteria and determined by the CNESST, may be paid.

Generally, occupational hearing loss appears after several years of working in a noisy environment. Even if you no longer work in a loud environment or are retired, you can still apply to the CNESST for assistance.

It is important to remember that wearing protective earplugs can help maintain good hearing health. Using them can make you feel less tired and can prevent the onset of tinnitus.
